Welcome to Friendme.ca. These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern your access to and use of the website, applications, and services provided by Friendme.ca (collectively, the “Service”).

Your continued use of the Service constitutes a legally binding agreement between you and Friendme.ca for as long as you maintain an account or access our platforms.

Eligibility & User Representation

Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

Criminal History: By using Friendme.ca, you represent and warrant that you have never been convicted of an indictable offense (felony) and are not required to register as a sex offender with any government entity.

Background Checks:

Friendme.ca does not currently conduct criminal background screenings on its members. However, we reserve the right to conduct such checks using public records at any time to confirm compliance with these terms, where legally permissible.

Intentional Use & Community Standards
Friendme.ca is built for intentional connections and deeper conversations. To maintain this environment, you agree not to: Use the service for illegal purposes or to solicit illegal acts.

Post “spam,” commercial advertisements, or scripts that undermine the platform’s mission.

Harass, stalk, intimidate, or harm other users.

Share intimate images without explicit consent (consistent with the Criminal Code of Canada).

Provide false information or impersonate any person or entity.

Safety & Personal Responsibility

Risk Acknowledgment: You acknowledge that there are inherent risks in meeting people online. Friendme.ca is a platform for connection, but we do not vet the character of every user.

Personal Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your interactions. We strongly encourage following safety best practices, such as meeting in public places or your local area and informing a trusted contact of your plans.

Verification Disclaimer: While we may use tools to verify user information, we do not guarantee the accuracy of such verifications and hold no liability for incorrectly verified information.

Aggregate Liability: In no event shall Friendme.ca’s total liability exceeds the price paid by you for your account.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Friendme.ca, its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of this Agreement, or your violation of the rights of any third party.

Termination & Cancellation

Termination by Friendme.ca: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access at any time, for any reason, without notice, particularly for violations of our “Intentional Connection” spirit.

User Cancellation: You may cancel your account at any time via your account settings.

Refunds: Unless otherwise stated, cancellations do not entitle the user to a refund for unused portions of a subscription term.

Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Calgary, Alberta.
